L'Officiel 90 Years of Covers

To celebrate 90 years of the magazine, L'Officiel have published a collection of their favourite covers from those nine decades, with suggestions and contributions from designers and editors that have been involved with, or just simply loved the images.

I was extremely honoured to find that two out of the three chosen from 2008 were mine!! both of which had very kind individual comments from Stefano Pilati and Matthew Williamson.

Working late, shooting at home.......

Editing

One of the hardest and most painful parts of being a photographer is editing.
To know that the images you don't choose will simply disappear into your archive/hard drive, never to be seen again is agonising!! 
I've just been going through one of my old drives and I came across some outtakes from a shoot I did a few years a go and found a few gems. These go with a story which can be found on the 3rd page of the beauty/celebrity page of my website, so if you want to see what I chose instead, go and visit my site and tell me if I was wrong!!

I am constantly surprised with the quality of the images that I am taking on my iPhone 4 and i'm sure that with the move towards magazines going entirely online and web based photography being used as a tool of promoting ones work, we are going to see more people using them instead of bigger more expensive cameras. I feel like they are almost the equivalent of the old 35mm point and shoot cameras?!

Yesterday I shot the A/W 2011 campaign for Lara Bohinc and the results are BEAUTIFUL!!
Everything came together on the day, the location, the model, the hair and make up and of course Lara's beautiful products!
